Hole in the ground

[Jul.03] - Small hole for future exploration

      Walking along the Mississippi river one day we spotted a hole in the woods/cliff area.  So we went down it.

(that giant hexagonal manhole half fell on my left
foot as we moved it.  It's very heavy.)

(just inside the hole is this second hole with
wooden planks crossing it)

(looking down that second hole you can see it's quite
a drop and there appears to be no ladder out)

(soon the main shaft ends in a bricked up wall)

      Someday we will return with a ladder or some other device and check out that second hole.
